The Great Cornish Pasty Dash Game
A cheeky Cornish game full of seagulls, sunshine, and pasty-based peril!
It’s a warm, sunny day in Cornwall and you’ve got one simple mission: grab some delicious Cornish pasties and make it back to your favourite town before anyone else.
Easy, right? Not when hungry seagulls are circling overhead and rival players are blocking your path.
Race through the towns and beaches, visit castles, landmarks, woods and gardens. Take part in the crazy, quirky traditions of Cornwall. Dodge flocks of pesky seagulls, and keep your pasties safe at all costs.
This fast-paced, family-friendly game is packed with mischief, Cornish charm, and a good dollop of seaside silliness.
It is a game of pure chance, so anyone can be the winner.
Ready, set... DASH!
How To Play The Game
The Great Cornish Pasty Dash is a game for 2-6 players. You each choose a home town to start from (St Ives, Newquay, Bodmin, Fowey, Falmouth or Penzance).
Roll the dice and move around Cornwall, landing on different squares, winning and losing pasties as you go. Choose postcards that give lots of different information about Cornwall, and will take you to places you know, and others you might have not yet discovered!
The Aim Of The Game
The aim of the game is to be the first player to collect 6 Cornish pasties (5 if 5 or more players are playing). You collect pasties by rolling the dice to win, or by stealing other people's pasties. This might sound simple, but you are thwarted at every turn by pasty stealing seagulls, pasty penalties and cheeky players!
Note: small pieces are used (the Cornish Pasties) and pubs are mentioned, so it might not be age appropriate for some children. We have put the age at 14+ for this reason alone.

What Is On The Board
THE HOME TOWNS
We have picked 6 lovely towns in Cornwall:
- Falmouth
- Bodmin
- Fowey
- Newquay
- Penzance
- and St Ives (of course!)
BLACK SPACES
If you land on a space with a black outline, pick a postcard and read the information and instructions. This will send you all over the board, visiting places in Cornwall far and wide.
YELLOW SPACES
Land on a yellow space and follow the instructions - safe from seagulls, roll to win a pasty, or miss a go. Or worse still, if you land on a yellow pub, you all have to swap pasties to the left. Brutal!
RED SPACES
Seagull attack! Roll the dice again to win, lose, give or steal a pasty. This one causes lots of uproar.
HOME TOWNS
If you land on someone elses home town and they have got pasties on it, you can steal one for yourself!
Handmade In St Ives!
The Great Cornish Pasty Dash game has been designed and illustrated by us in St Ives. It has taken us over a year to perfect.
Lots of elements of the game are handmade from our home in St Ives, including the Cornish pasties which are literally made at our kitchen table.
The Cornish Pasties
We make the Cornish Pasties from polymer clay. We mould the clay into the pasty shapes and colour them individually. They are baked in the oven. Once they are cool we varnish them twice, so they take 3 days in total to fully dry and harden. It's quite a time-consuming process, made more manageable by a good cup of tea and some music playing in the background!
Please do note that these are handmade. The shape and colour of them is not even, they all come out looking slightly different!
Not Mass Produced
Please do bear in mind that this is not a mass-produced game and is not made like a traditional board game. Where possible we make everything ourselves, and we have limited the amount of packaging. For example, we haven't added in those white plastic insides that most games come with, in an effort to reduce the amount of plastic we use.
Postage
We charge £3.50 postage on all UK orders. The game is pretty big, so it costs us this amount to post it out to you. We promise, we do not make any profit on the postage.
We post all orders out within 3 working days of you ordering (usually much quicker). We send everything by 1st class Royal Mail from St Ives, which normally arrives within 1-2 working days. The parcel is quite large & won't fit through your letterbox if you are out. If you haven't received your game in good time, please contact us and I will get Royal Mail to check at your local depot.
Local Collection Available
If you are in St Ives and would prefer to pick it up from us, please enter the code STIVESLOCALPICKUP which will give you free postage. You can then arrange a time to come to our house to pick it up. Please email us (help@stivesbythesea.co.uk) to arrange a time.
