Established in 1894 by Elizabeth Johns, the shop began as a greengrocer's in her family home on Fore Street.
Today, it's renowned as the town's oldest family-run business and a top destination for craft spirits, fine wines, and local beers. Operated by brothers Tom and Sam Hanson, the great-great-grandsons of Elizabeth, the store has evolved into a haven for beverage enthusiasts.
Their curated selection includes world whiskies, spiced rums, and a diverse range of wines and beers, complemented by expert advice from WSET-qualified staff.
In 2021, they launched Crusty Juggler Rum Co., producing rum locally just outside St Ives.
Additionally, their newly opened wine bar offers a cozy space to enjoy staff-selected wines by the glass or choose a bottle from the shelves to savor on-site.

St Ives Cider
St Ives Cider is a family-run cidery nestled in the scenic far west of Cornwall.
Founded by David and Kate Berwick in 2012, the business combines David's winemaking expertise with traditional cider techniques to produce small-batch, award-winning ciders.
Their range includes the full-flavoured "Farmhouse" still cider, the mellow "Kirthenwood" Reserve made from rare Cornish apple varieties, and the crisp "Gold" sparkling cider.
All ciders are crafted from 100% apple juice sourced from handpicked orchards around Cornwall, with minimal artificial interference.
St Ives Cider is committed to low food miles and minimal waste, using a mobile press to harvest apples directly from local orchards. Their products are available to buy at many local markets all around Cornwall.
