Dairyland Farm World – Newquay Cornwall
During our weekend glamping at Trevella Park, Newquay we decided to take a trip to Dairyland Farm World. My 3 year old had been asking to visit a farm and this looked like a great place to go.
Tractors – The Main Theme Of The Day!
Tractors are a big thing at dairy land. This is a wonderful thing for my 3 year old as he loves tractors!
The Animal Barn
We decided the start the day off by looking in the animal barns.
There were lots of animals in pens – horses, pigs, calfs and the noisiest sheep in the world!
Pat-A-Pet
There was a little area in the barn where children could go and sit down and stroke some of the little pets. They had rabbits, guinea pigs and rats.
Tractors
In the barn there is a little tractor exhibit. My kids loved sitting on the tractor seats and said how comfortable they were!
Outside Animals
There were lots of animals outside in paddocks. We saw alpacas, llamas (still not sure of the difference), rheas, pigs, ponies and cows.
Tractor Ride
We had booked on the tractor ride (a bargain at only £1 each!). We climbed aboard the trailers and were towed down to the nature reserve to look at the ponds. It was a lovely little ride and well worth doing.
Lunch
There is a cafe at Dairyland Farm World where you can get food and drinks. However, we had brought ours with us. We had left it in the car and it was fine to do back and get it when we needed it.
We ate it at one of the covered picnic benches as it was drizzling a little bit.
The Bull Pen – Indoor Soft Play
After lunch it was actually raining, so we headed into the Bull Pen which is the soft play zone. This looked weirdly familiar – it was obviously designed by the same people as Paradise Park in Hayle!
The only downside to the soft play was there wasn’t enough seating for the grownups.
The Outside Adventure Park
Much to our relief, the rain stopped and we headed to the outside adventure play ground. This bit is really good. They have a big obstacle course, some big, sunken trampolines, a zip wire, a digger area, a car track and various other bits. My kids had a really good play there and especially liked the wooded hill that you could run up and down.
The Ponds
Next we had a lovely walk around the ponds and had a chat to the ducks.
The Play House, Tractor & Ark
Dairyland have the most amazing play house!
Mueseum
Dairyland have a really interesting and very well laid out milking parlour and museum.
