Mount Hawke Skatepark stands is a real testament to the evolution of skate culture in the UK. Established in 1986 and transformed into an indoor haven in 1996, it has grown into the largest indoor skatepark in the South West, covering an impressive 24,000 square feet.
A Skatepark for All
Whether you're a seasoned skater or a beginner eager to learn, Mount Hawke offers something for everyone. The park is divided into various sections, each catering to different skating styles and skill levels:
Street Course:
Featuring a mix of ledges, rails, blocks, and hips, this area is perfect for those looking to hone their technical skills.
Transition Zone:
With mini ramps, midi ramps, and a 13.5ft vert ramp with 19.5ft extensions, this section caters to riders who love to carve and air.
Bowl Area:
Added in 2017, the pool-style bowl offers a deep, flowing space for riders seeking a more vert-focused experience.
Outdoor Plaza and Pump Track:
Designed by Maverick Skateparks in 2020, these additions provide a street-style concrete park and a pump track for all-weather riding.
Mount Hawke isn't just a skatepark; it's a community hub. Operated by the Mount Hawke Community Youth Group, a registered charity, the park is dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive space for all riders.
The park actively supports adaptive skating and WCMX (wheelchair motocross), encouraging riders of all abilities to participate and enjoy the facilities.

Located at Gover Waterworks, Mount Hawke, Truro, TR4 8BQ, the skatepark is easily accessible from Chiverton Cross roundabout.
Simply follow signs for St Agnes, take the first left signposted Mount Hawke, turn right at the crossroads just before the 30mph signs for Mount Hawke village, and the skatepark lane is the first turning on your right.
Opening Hours:
Weekdays: Under 11s from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm; 11yrs+ from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
Weekends: Under 11s from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm; 11yrs+ from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
The park also offers themed nights such as Skate Only and Scooter Night, along with private hire options and birthday party packages.
